Obituary: Bessie P Dodson, 76

Boonville - Bessie P Dodson, 76, New Franklin passed away at Lakeview Healthcare Center on Saturday, January 15.

Funeral services for Bessie will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel at 12 pm on Friday, January 21, with Pastor Wayne Purvis and Rev Dale Hopkins, officiating. Family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow are Sulphur Springs Cemetery in New Franklin.

Bessie Pearl Dodson was born May 29, 1934, in Franklin, MO, the daughter of Zerze Madison O'Bryan and Bessie Pearl Johnson. Bessie married David Lee Dodson October 1, 1950 and they are the parents of five children. She was a devout member of the Friendship Foursquare Church in New Franklin who enjoyed reading her bible. She was always on the go and enjoyed word search puzzles and walking for exercise. Her first love was of her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee in 1989, her son, David Michael and daughter, Cora Lee Farris. Three sisters and five brothers also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Deborah Ann Farris and husband David Earl of Boonville, Donna Kay Hein and husband Donnie of Bunceton and Pamela June Koonse and husband, Jeff, of New Franklin. Her brother Earl O'Bryan of Boonville and sisters, Bertie Gerding of Boonville, Zora Lee Long of Imperial Beach, CA and Betty Willis of Mexico, MO, also survives. Grandchildren; David Zimmerman, Becky Farmer, David Farris Jr, April Schnell, Timmy Farris and Kyle Hein as well as great-grandchildren, Landon Farmer, Aaydin Zimmerman and Mackenna Schnell also survive.

Memorials are suggested to the Friendship Foursquare Church.
