In the 1900 census Jacob was living in Jackson Township, Elkhart County, Indiana. He was listed as a farmer age 46 born January 1854 in Ohio, his wife Rebecca age 44 born July 1855 in Indiana, their children listed were: Nettie A. age 16 born October 1883 in Indiana, Amanda M. age 15 born February 1885 in Indiana, Clara E. age 10 born March 1890 in Indiana and Doshia age 8 born May 1892 in Indiana. The census also stated that Rebecca was a mother of 5 children but only the four were still living at the time.

Jacob O. Culler, 63 years old, died last night at his home, 110 West avenue of tuberculosis. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, four daughters, Mrs. Charles Weybright and Mrs. Artemus Hoke, of Goshen, Indiana; Mrs. Harvey Hartsough, of Hunting, Indiana; Miss Amanda Culler, of Goshen, Indiana; two brothers, Samuel and John Culler, of Goshen; five brothers and four half sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at ten o'clock, at the West Side church, friends meeting at the home of 9:30 o'clock. Rev. Leander Kurtz will officiate, and interment will be made in the West Side Cemetery.

Culler, Jacob Oswalt, son of David J. and Catherine (Bowser) Culler, born near Louisville, Stark Co., Ohio, died December 19, 1921, at his house in Goshen, Indiana, aged 67 years, 11 months and 10 days. In April, 1877, he came to Elkhart County, Indiana. October 18, 1877, he married Rebecca Meloy, near Milford. They resided in Kosciusko County until 1885, which they moved near New Paris, where they lived until they came to West Goshen about seven years ago. He was baptized March 4, 1877. For more than 27 years he served faithfully in the office of deacon. He was preceded in death by an infant son and is survived by his wife, Rebecca Culler, four daughters, four grandchildren, two brothers, his stepmother, six half-brothers, and four half sisters. His mother died when he was only one year old, and his father preceded him twenty-five years. The interests of the church were his interests. The Word of God was his daily meditation.
