Funeral services for Florian Sparks Dayton, 73, who died June 22, of a heart attack at his home in Dingle were conducted by Bishop Marriner Jensen at 1 p. m Tuesday in the Dingle LDS Ward Chapel. Lynn Nate gave the family prayer
Mrs. Bernard Sparks played prelude postlude music Following the invocation by David Humpherys was the obituary by Bishop Jensen, vocal solo, "The Lord's Prayer", Mrs. Waldo Andersen, speaker, Dean Hansen, medley of hymns, male quartet, speaker, Clifford Skinner; song, Dingle Trio, speaker David Humpherys, and benediction, J Clarence Lindsay. Cecil Dunn gave the dedicatory prayer at the Dingle cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Layland, Rusty Cook, Brent Booth, Don Jensen, F C. Bentsen and Loren Dunn;
honorary pallbearers, Keith Koeven, David Humpherys, Bernard
Sparks, Bill Sparks, Kenneth Sparks and Bob Layland. Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

A son of John Henry and Caroline Hanna Sparks Dayton, he was
born March 7, 1900 at Dingle. He was a retired farmer and employee of the Union Pacific Railroad. Mr. Dayton married Jessie Johnson Layland, March 10, 1948, at Soda Springs. She died. Surviving are three stepchildren, Delbert Layland of Pocatello, Robert Layland of Montpelier and Mrs. Dean (Pearl) Cook of Dingle; 12 step-grandchildren and 13 great-
grand-step-children, one brother and three sisters, Alfred Daytonand Mrs. Chancy (Olive) Michaelsen, both of Montpelier, Mrs. Horton (Alice) Hansen of Ogden, and Mrs.
Mrs. Delbert (Nelda) Smith of Salt Lake City.
