Noland "Buddy" Weldon Brooks of Cedar Hill, Texas was born August 3, 1935 to Sam and Minnah Brooks in Pluto, Texas.

He grew up on the farm in Maypearl, Texas and attended school and met and married his wonderful wife, Paula of 55 years in Grandview, Texas.

Buddy went to meet his Lord Thursday, March 11, 2010 after battling cancer for many months.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Jean; son, Danny and wife Theresa of Cedar Hill; and daughter, Brenda Willis of DeSoto. Grandchildren: Keller Bo Brooks of Cedar Hill and Tobi Samantha Brooks of Dallas; Brother: Roland Brooks and wife Marlene of Grandview; Sisters-in-law: Linda Hom of Cedar Hill, and Louise Hudson of Grandview, Nieces: "Bull Com" Amy, Joy, Carolyn, Charlotte, Cynthia, Catherine, Frankie, and Sylvia and Buddy's special friend and "latte loving" Miniature Pincher "Trotter" and many, many friends.

Buddy was a Baptist deacon and a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church.

He retired from United Stationers Distributing Company in 1997 after 41 years of service with the company.

He was of member of the Cedar Hill City Council, Cedar Hill School Board and longtime coach of Little League Sports.

Buddy is best known for his friendly personality, warm smile and passion for life.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 820 Wintergreen Rd in Cedar Hill, Texas, with burial to follow at Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville.

The family will greet friends at Jayne Memorial Chapel in Duncanville from 6:00-¬8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010.
