From Buffalo Journal Nov. 20, 1913:
"John Mullen died last Thursday and the service was held Saturday from St. Francis Church. He was 60 years old and death was due to tuberculosis, from which he has been suffering for several years. He was an old settler and was engaged in farming northwest of town until a few years ago. Mrs. Mullen died several years ago, and the children are all grown."
