Margaret Mary ‘Marge' (Gibbons) Bianco, age 85, formerly of West Conshohocken, beloved wife and mother to a large family, and a valued friend, neighbor and church member, died of congestive heart failure on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Brandywine Assisted Living in East Norriton.

She was born in Philadelphia on Nov. 4, 1924, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Sweet) Gibbons.

In 2005, Margaret, the wife of Anthony Bianco, and a lifelong resident of West Conshohocken, relocated to the Shannondell Retirement Community after the death of her husband, where she lived for five years before a recent move to Brandywine Assisted Living in East Norriton.

Her interests were foremost her family of eight children, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom live in Montgomery and Lancaster counties.

Over the years, Margaret participated in numerous activities outside of her life as a homemaker. Her love of music and singing took her into the choir at St. Gertrude RC Church, where she was also a devoted member of the Sodality for many years.

She sang in a special presentation by the greater Philadelphia Archdiocesan Choir, the Centennial of the Borough of West Conshohocken and in visits to area nursing homes.

In addition, after her children were grown, she worked in the kitchen at Upper Merion Area High School for several years.

She will be sorely missed by her family, which includes children Patricia Jordan, husband Richard Alliger of Wayne, Dominic (Diane) Bianco of Audubon, Anthony (Lenore) Bianco of Collegeville, Peter (Ann) Bianco of Blue Bell, Gerard (Carol) Bianco of Exeter, Margaret Smith of Plymouth Meeting and Robert (Binnie) Bianco of Conshohocken.

Her son Paul passed away in 1986. Also surviving are her grandchildren Denise (Fazio), Jeffrey, Bianca, Michael, Anthony, Darin, Andrea, Max, Paul, Danielle, Chelsea, Madison and Emma; great-grandchildren Frankie, Michael, Joseph and Gabriel; as well as surviving siblings Thomas Gibbons and Agnes (Fowler).
