Dixie Pullen, of Midland, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2005.
She was born January 27, 1921 in Dickens County, Texas and was raised and educated there. On October 11, 1954, she married Elzy L. Pullen in Crosbyton, Texas. The couple had been residents of Midland since 1961. Dixie was a member of Cuthbert & Austin Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Maggie Garrett.
Dixie is survived by her husband, Elzy L. Pullen; her children, James Coy Murray and his wife, Sylvia; Ronnie W. Murray and his wife, Shirley; Betty Pickens and her husband, Jimmy; Tom Murray and his wife, Sandy; Linda Gallagher and her husband, Gary; Larry Pullen; Jerry L. Pullen and his wife, Kathy; brother, Wade L. Roberts; sisters, Loreen Brantley and Carlee Pierce; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements were under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
