He was a retired builder, and a contract pumper. He attended Valley View Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Murray; three sons, Mark and wife Denise of Midland; Blain, and Kim Stanley of New Braunfels; Kelly and wife Andrea of Austin; granddaughters, Mandy Taylor of Greenwood; Mackenzie Smith of Greenwood; Ginger Murray of Austin; Gertie Murray of Austin and Mattie Murray of Austin; grandsons, Brooke and Jordan Murray of Austin, and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Betty Pickens of Lamesa; brothers, Ron Murray of Oppelo, Arkansas; Tom Murray of Midland and Jerry Pullen of Midland; and a step-father, Elzy Pullen of Midland.
Funeral Services were held Friday, October 15, 2010 with Pastor Robert Frazier officiating. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
