Eva, age 94, was a native of Iowa. She came to Hanford in 1905 and had lived here for 70 years. She was the widow of William D. Cackler, who was the Hanford Fire Chief for many years and a former city councilman. Beloved for her concern to relieve suffering and need throughout the community. The Cackler family included six children: Vena, Wallis, Cody, Carl, William P. and Alice.
