Mary Kathleen Dunaway McKenzie 93 of Pascagoula, MS passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

Mrs. McKenzie was born on November 26, 1918 in Tylertown, MS to Clemons and Ettie Dunaway. She had lived along the coast for over 50 years. She enjoyed baking and cooking especially for the preachers. Mrs. Mary was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, but not just a member. She was a prayer warrior always thinking and praying without ceasing for others. The scripture says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh, so it is no surprise that prayer and praise continued until the final breath was taken. She and her prayers will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 11 siblings, her husband A. J. McKenzie daughter, Doris Bennett sonsinlaw Billy Eanes and Wayne Bennett 4 grandchildren, Sheila McLellan, Norman Bennett, Glenn Bennett, Johnny East greatgreat grandchild, Amber Maddox and Floyd Mae Bennett who was like a daughter to her.

She is survived by a son, Charles McKenzie Belle of Lake Jackson, Texas daughters, Mary Big Mama Stewart Glenn of Moss Point, MS, Pat East John of Baytown, TX, Pearline Eanes of Pascagoula, MS, Ellen Hall Kenneth of Pascagoula, MS, Regina Miller Randy of Prentiss, MS 16 grandchildren 28 great grandchildren and numerous greatgreat grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2012 at Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 3705 Old Mobile Hwy, Pascagoula, MS from 12 noon until 2:00pm followed by the funeral at 2:00pm with Rev. Jimmy Lee and Rev. Tommy Jackson officiating. Interment will conclude at Jackson County Memorial Park. Those who would like may express their condolences online at www.obryantokeefe.com
