SWENSON
The passing of Albert S. Swenson, aged 58, at his home in this city Oct. 22nd, was briefly mentioned in this paper last week. Deceased was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ever Swenson and was born in Hickory Grove township March 24, 1872, where he was reared to manhood. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith to which he remained steadfast throughout his useful life. On April 6, 1899, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Olson and to this union three children were born. His wife died in 1907. On Aug. 23, 1910, he married Anna Imhoff, and seven children were born to them. The family resided on their farm in Hickory Grove until five years ago when Mr. and Mrs. Swenson and the younger children moved to Boscobel. For the last six months Mr. Swenson's health had been on the decline and when he fully realized that he was nearing the end of his journey he became reconciled, calmly awaiting the end. Quiet and unassuming, pursuing his course in life, in an exemplary manner - faithful to his family and friends, his career was one above reproach. He leaves to mourn his death his aged mother, his widow, eight children: Gladys (Mrs. Arthur Nelson), Harvey, Alice (Mrs. Clyde Kalish) Clarence, Hilda, Inez, Lenice and Geraldine; five brothers and five sisters: Mrs. Anna: Kelty, Mrs. Ever Olson, Mrs. Wm. Glave, William and Arthur; all in or near Boscobel, Mrs. H. Kelzenberg, Mrs. C. Mitchell, Senius and Nels of Madison and John of Bridgeport. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the home to Trinity Lutheran, church, and burial took place in the Boscobel cemetery, Rev. M. A. Anderson officiating.
