Helen was an active member of the LDS church and she had an unshakable testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She did temple work and served a mission at the Family History Library in Ogden, Utah. She was an active member and past captain of the Sunset Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She never had much in the way of worldly goods, but she always did the best she could with what she had. She was a proud woman and loved her family very much. She made the best homemade bread in the world.
She had seven children: Ray Sterling Thompson II; Josephene (Thompson) Stevens; Daniel L. Thompson; Blane R. Burningham; Paull Bradshaw Sorensen Gunderson, Johanne Marie (Gunderson) LeMon and Brent Patrick.
