CROSSVILLE — Anna Marie Marlow nèe Hinch, 87, passed away on Dec. 20, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 24 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with The Rev. Jerry Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in Crossville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hinch was born July 5, 1923, in Pleasant Hill, the daughter of Ella Vance Hinch and Margaret Anna Hinch nèe Miller.
She attended Cumberland County High School where she graduated in the spring of 1941. She then attended McKenzie Business College in Chattanooga and then worked as a secretary for the U. S. federal government in Washington D.C. during World War II.
On June 9, 1946, she married Dewey Harold Marlow of Crossville at First United Methodist Church in Crossville. She worked for a time in the family-owned farmer-supply store and automobile dealership in Crossville before becoming a full-time homemaker for Harold and their four children. she was very active in the First United Methodist Church of Crossville, serving in a number of positions including Superintendent of Youth Education for over 25 years.
Survivors include her son Randal H. Marlow of Dothan, AL, his wife, Sherry, and their children, Allison Marlow and Will Marlow; son, Robert Lee Marlow of Shelbyville, his wife, Letha, and his children, R. Bentley Marlow and Sarah Marlow; and son, James "Jim" Allen Marlow of Winnweiler, Germany, his wife, Sabine, and their children, Lucas Marlow and Eric Marlow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harold Marlow; daughter, Carolyn Ann Marlow; brothers, James Roger Hinch, Huburt Roy Hinch, Paul Richard Hinch, Ben Hinch, Thomas Craven Hinch, Vance Miller Hinch and Billy Hinch; and sisters, margaret Elizabeth Graham nèe Hinch and Rosalie Freeman nèe Hinch.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the First United Methodist Church of Crossville, P.O. Box 752, Crossville, TN 38557 or the Pomona United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 623, Crossville, TN 38557.
