Service is pending at Denton Funeral Home for Florrie A. Blythe Mansfield, 88, 1713 Live Oak Place. She died today at her home.

Mrs. Mansfield was born July 22, 1902, in Boonesville, Miss. She lived in Hagerman N.M., where she graduated from high school. She received her degree from Whittis College, Austin, Texas.

She married William E. Mansfield on May 20, 1923 in Carlsbad.

Mrs. Mansfield was a 50-year resident of El Paso before moving to Phoenix and later, Lubbock, Texas. She moved to Carlsbad in 1986.

She was active in church affairs, the 50-50 Society, Women's Church Societies and taught beginners in Sunday school classes at El Paso and Lubbock.

Survivors include her widower of the home; one son, Dr. J.R. Mansfield, Carlsbad; two sisters, Elaine Witte, Victorville, Calif., and Mary Jane Sartin, Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren including Marjorie Wright, Carlsbad.

MANSFIELD

Service for Florrie A. Blythe Mansfield, 88, 1713 Live Oak Place, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Gene Harbaugh officiating.

Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery under the direction of Denton Funeral Home. She died Monday at her residence.

Pallbearers will be Dr. John Most, Dr. Glade Hogsett, Dr. R.W. McIntire, Dr. James Haynes, R.L. Heinsch and A.E. Carter.
