J. F. Gann Died in Shawnee
Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church in Shawnee, Monday, for J. F. Gann widely known pioneer resident of Shawnee, and father of Ottis Gann of Healdton and W. B. Gann of Tulsa. The pastor of the First Christian Church at Shawnee conducted the service with burial in Fairview cemetery near the grave of Mrs. Gann's father.
Mr. Gann was 72 years old and a retired business man. He had lived in Shawnee for 22 years and was a member of the First Christian Church. Surviving are his widow; ten children, nine of whom were present for the service; 12 grandchildren, and other relatives. One son, Sgt. Joe Gann in the U. S. Army Air Corps stationed in Alaska, was unable to attend.
