George F. Robichaud, 71, of 153 Brickyard Point South, and formerly of Greenfield, Mass., a B-29 navigator in World War II, died on April 10 in Allendale.

He was a 25-year employee of Rexnord Corp., and retired as director of corporate planning.

Born in Turners Falls, Mass., he was a 1942 graduate of Greenfield High School, and earned an engineering degree from the the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

He served in the Army Air Forces in the Pacific theater in World War II, and was a navigator aboard a B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber of the 15th Air Force. He flew several combat missions over Japan in 1944-45, and was based on Tinian Island.

He leaves his wife, the former Jeanne Clark; five sons, Jack of Italy, Doug and Tom of Madison, Wis., Jim of Pewaukee, Wis., and Bill of Cedar Grove, Wis.; a daughter, Anne Alagna of Italy; a sister, Eleanor Conant of Colrain; four grandchildren.

The service will be on Friday morning at Kostanski Funeral Home of Greenfield, and the Holy Trinity Church, with burial in Aaron Clark Cemetery at Turners Falls.

Calling hours are set for Thursday evening, and memorial contributions may be made to the National Psoriasis Foundation, 6600 Southwest 92nd Ave., Suite 300, Portland, Ore., 97223.
