Rockville - Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednedsay at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for Bernard M. Karls, 77, who died Monday at Assumption Nursing Home, Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 today at Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring. Rockville Senior Citizens will pray the rosary at 5 today at the funeral home in Cold Spring followed by Rockville Fire Department at 6:30 and parish prayers at 8.

Mr. Karls was born Jan. 20, 1905, in Goodner Lake to the late Peter and Veronica Steckel Karls. He married Theresia Nieters June 4, 1929, in Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and had been a resident of Rockville all his married life. He was employed by Cold Spring Granite Company until his retirement, a former Rockville city councilman, retired member of the Rockville Fire Department and member of Rockville Senior Citizens.

Survivors include his wife; sons and daughter, Edward and Robert, Rockville; Mrs. Joseph (Rose Marie) Leither, Cold Spring; brother and sister, Albert, Jacobs Prairie; Mrs. Marcellus (Catherine) Schwartz, St. Cloud, and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sister, William, Clarence, Nicholas, Chris and Mrs. Richard (Theresa) Maus.

Pallbearers will be Jeffry, Kent, Glenn, Alfred and Jerome Karls and Al Maselter.
