Julia L. "Judy" Alexander, 68, died late Friday evening, Feb. 26, 2010, at the Memorial Health Center, Extended Care in Sidney.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, at Prairie West Christian Church in Potter with Pastor Terry Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Potter Cemetery.

Judy was born on April 6, 1941, in Sidney to Marvin "Mac" and Doris (Gillispie) Moench. She attended school at Potter Public Schools in Potter.
On August 28, 1962, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Alexander. They moved to Gillette, Wyo. in 1966 and then to California in 1968. In 1974, they moved to Lima, Peru, South America where Ken worked in the oil fields. They moved back to Potter in 1979.
They purchased Ron's Bar in Potter in 1982 and established the Golden Mug bar and restaurant and ran it until 1991. Judy then bought the Potter Sundry and operated it for a few years. Ken retired and they moved to Texas in 1994. They moved back to Sidney in 2007 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Sidney; son, Larry Alexander; daughter, Jana Tarrell and husband Ev; son, Michael Summers and wife Christine of Wheatridge, Colo.; grandsons, Trever Tarrell and Reid Doyle both of Sidney, Tyler and Alyssa Summers of Wheatridge, Colo.; great-granddaughter, Ava Summers; sisters, Donna Johnson and husband Jack of Kimball; brother, Donald Moench and wife Patty of Potter; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents and a son, Marvin Summers, preceded her in death.
