Fernando B. Arriaga, 78, passed away on December 1, 2009.
He is preceded in death by parents, Merced Arriaga and Guadalupe B. Arriaga, one son, David Arriaga and brother, Jose Trinidad Arriaga. He moved to Corpus Christi in 1947. Fernando was self-employed in the automotive air conditioning business. He assisted and was a co-owner of Antoniles Flowers and Bridal Shop and Tuxedo Rental along with his wife. He enjoyed hunting and traveling.
Fernando leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 59 years, Antonia C. Arriaga, two sons, Rodolfo Arriaga and Daniel (Margaret) Arriaga, and grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Jeffrey and Rudy Edward, brothers, Valentin B. Arriaga of Sunnyside, Washington and Juan R. Arriaga of McAllen, Texas, sisters, Altagracia A. Barrera of Mission,Texas, Aurea DeLeon of Corpus Christi, Texas and Bernarda B. Arriaga of Edinburg, Texas.
Visitation and a rosary service were held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church at 3901 Violet Road. Interment followed at Rosehill Memorial Park.
