Daniel Arriaga, age 59, passed away September 9th, 2014. He was born and raised on February 23, 1955 to Fernando and Antonia Cavazos Arriaga in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School in 1974. He enlisted in the Air Force on June 1974. He was honorably discharged in June 1976. In 1990, at the start of the Gulf War, he reenlisted in the Air Force as an active reservist and served as an Aircraft Structural Maintenance Specialist throughout Operation Desert Shield. He was honorably discharged on June 21st, 1994 with the rank of Senior Airman.

He married his wife, Margaret Ann, of 36 years on November 2nd, 1977. Daniel Arriaga was employed by the Corpus Christi Army Depot for 26 years.

Daniel Arriaga was as loving father, son, and brother.

He enjoyed hunting, traveling, fishing, cycling, camping, and working with his hands. He will always be remembered for his devotion, commitment, loyalty, and pride that he had for his family, the strong sense of perfection he strove for in all his work, his love of roadtrips and the outdoors. He was always honest and upfront with everyone he knew.

Daniel Arriaga is preceded in death by his brother David Arriaga, his sister Rachel Arriaga, and his father Fernando B. Arriaga.

Daniel Arriaga is survived by his wife Margaret Ann Arriaga, his mother Antonia Arriaga, his brother Rudolfo Arriaga, his three sons; Michael Daniel (Yoskiko) Arriaga, Brian Joseph Arriaga, Jeffrey Neil Arriaga, grand-daughter Sophina Arriaga, two nephews and two nieces.

May he finally get the peace and rest that he deserves.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Cage Mills Funeral Directors. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, 3901 Violet Road. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
