Mrs. Coleman Dies at Hospital

Mrs. Maggie Belle Coleman, 66, of 1732 Columbia College Drive, Columbia, died at the Baptist Hospital at 10 o'clock Sunday morning after an illness of the past several months. She was born Dec. 28, 1892 in Richland County, the daughter of the late Charles Arledge and Susan Locklier Arledge. She was a lifelong resident of Richland County where she was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. R. T. Alley of Valley Falls; three sons, W. F. Coleman of Gilbert, R. T. Coleman of Clearwater and W. M. Coleman of Columbia; eight sisters, Mrs. B.H. Kaigler, Mrs. Robert Hawkins, Mrs. Joe Barfield, Mrs. Alex Perry, all of Columbia, Mrs. J. W. Maw of West Columbia, Mrs. Martin Spigner of Winnsboro, Mrs. E. L Tidwell of Greer, Mrs. Harry Grieshaber of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Johnny Arledge of Chicago, Ill, and Charlie Arledge of Columbia; 10 grandchildren; several uncles and aunts; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Olympia Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be John Brazell, Joe Bundrick, A.L. Reynolds, Harry B. Browder, Jr. Jon Haltiwanger and Gene Haltiwanger.
