Nell Sonnenfeld , 89, passed away March 23, 2010 in OKC.

She was born August 19, 1920, the daughter of the only Congressman at Large from Oklahoma; William Cornelius Rogers and her mother Chloe Gordon Rogers Bryant.

She married Bob Sonnenfeld in January, 1950 and together, they were members of Crown Heights Christian Church for 60 years. There Nell was in charge of Mobile Meals for 35 years and also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was also involved for many years as a Camp Fire Leader. With a keen eye, she had a knack for drawing and designing house plans for many friends and family members. Nell had a lifelong love of gardening as well as a passion for working with young children. She and Bob traveled frequently and circled the world several times. They never tired of visiting new countries all the way from the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway to the Southern hemisphere in Australia and New Zealand.

Survivors include her husband Bob, two daughters Sheryl Holford and husband Monroe of OKC, Susan Pearson and husband Mark of Guthrie, OK. She is also survived by five grandchildren Jeff Vogel of Piedmont, Dr. Brad Vogel of Norman, Stacy Flaherty of Edmond, Justin Pearson of Guthrie and Sarah McKee of Guthrie, along with 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 26, at Crown Heights Christian Church.
