ENLARGE Stanley Farrell Berger, 78, passed away April 10, 2009 at his residence in Fallon. He was born October 15, 1930 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Bernard Saul and Henritta Racine Berger. He moved to Missouri when he was a baby. From there, at age 17, he joined the United States Air Force and when he was stationed at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, Calif. in the early 1950's, he met his wife, Donna. They moved to several places and had four children along the way. He retired in 1971 and lived in San Bernardino until 2000. He and his wife then moved to Battle Mountain, Nev. and then on to Fallon in 2002.

You could ask anyone who knew him, he always left with a joke and always put a smile on someones face.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Shirl (Ken) Thomas of Fallon; son, Stan (Robin) Berger II of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Gail (J.C.) Clark of San Bernardino and Susan (David) Cluff of St. George, Utah; sister, Shiela Morisette of Conn.; brothers, Stu Allen of Raleigh, N.C., and Bill (Sandra) Allen of Norman, Okla.; sister, Michelle (Jim) Parsons of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Jeremy, Sarah, Trey, Brandi, James, Chris, Michelle, Mara, Katrina, Kathy, Melissa, Aaron and Emma; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside committal service will be held on Friday, April 17 at 1 p.m. at Montecito Memorial Park in Loma Linda, Calif. under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon, Nev. (775) 423-2255.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 705 S. Wells, Ave., Reno, NV 89513.
