Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Bogaard, 84, of 672 Fourteenth Place, who died Thursday at Mercy Hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella. Burial will be in Oak Wood Cemetery in Pella. Mrs. Bogaard was the widow of Nicolas H. Bogaard. She was a member of Bethany Reformed Church in Des Moines. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Leona) Strain of Des Moines and a son, Lawrence of Grimes. -Des Moines Register, June 12, 1970
