NATCHEZ — Services for Carolyn Alexander Hill, 60, who died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Coleman Allmand officiating and Rev. Dick Root assisting.

Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home in Natchez.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hill was bron July 22, 1948, the daughter of the late Farrar M. Alexander Sr. and Ruth Carmen French Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, her twin sister Marilyn Bailey and Martha Lea Isemann and one brother, Farrar M. Alexander Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, James Hilton Hill; two sons, Brian Keith Hill and Phillip Wayne Hill and wife Lisa, all of Natchez; five grandchildren, Hunter, Hailey, Avery and Tristan Hill, all of Natchez and Matthew Warren of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Katherine Bates of Natchez and her husband Jack of Jackson, La. and Frances Hammond of Natchez; two brothers, Charles Alexander and wife Belle of Ruston, La., and Robert Alexander and wife Shirley of Harvey, La.; one sister-in-law, Estelle Alexander of Natchez and one brother-in-law Melbin P. Isemann of Gretna, La.; a special uncle, Howard French; special friend Patty Freeman and other members of her bowling team; her extended family-in-laws and their spouses and family; aunts; nieces; nephews and a special person and friend Myrna French. She also leaves behind a Chihuahua dog Tia Maria and a cat Abbey.

Pallbearers are Ray Freeman, Roger Britt, Donnie Agent, Micheal Alexander, Rusty Hill and Thomas "T.J." Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers are Howard French and Melvin P. Isemann.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your prayers, kindness, support and thoughts during this time of transition. May your efforts have been a blessing, and you each have our love and appreciation.

The family also gratefully acknowledges the care provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Natchez Community Hospital, Riverside Medical Park Medical Center in Vidalia and Mrs. Hill's hospice nurse, Ann Cobb, from Community Hospices, for the wonderful care and love she provided to her and her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 N. Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, The Magnolia Messenger, P.O. Box 1578, Kosciusko, MS 39090, Community Hospices of America, 300 Highland Blvd., Natchez, MS 39120 or the charity of your choice.
