Catharine See Crook, born 21 October 1769, wife of William Crook (d. 1855) was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Stump and the widow of John See (ca. 1769–1795), son of George.

John left two minor children, George, born 1791, and Elizabeth, born 1794. In July 1805 the County Court appointed John Craigen, husband of John's sister, Mary Ann See, as Elizabeth's guardian and in September of that year George chose his grandfather, George See, as his guardian.
