Mrs. Lilla Shealy, 91, Cayce, Dies; Services Today
Mrs. Lilla Kibler Shealy, 91, of 2230 Frink Street, Cayce, died at 11 o'clock Saturday morning at the Lowman Home at White Rock.
Mrs. Shealy was born February 12, 1869 in Newberry County, the daughter of the late Adam Kibler and Laura Engle Kibler. She had made her home in West Columbia and Cayce for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. C. L. Shull of Cayce, and Mrs. A. D. Derrick of Columbia; one son, Ernest Shealy of Batesburg; one brother, Dave Kibler of Gainesville, Texas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon from Mt. Tabor Lutheran church conducted by Rev. D. F. Swicegood and Rev. L. E. Blackwelder. Interment will be in the Mt. Tabor cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Gerald Livingston, A. S. Dukes, Elzie Ford, E. C. Kyzer, Carroll Mungo, and James Hallman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Fred S. Smith, S. O. Shuler and the Church Council of the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, and members of the Ladies Bible Class of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church.
Active pallbearers will meet at the funeral home at 3:30 and the honorary pallbearers at the church at 3:50.
The body will remain at the Thompson Funeral Home until time of services.
