Mrs.Vallie Fleming, 48 died in her home, 1280 Condit street at 6:45 Wednesday morning several hours after she suffered a heart attack. Mrs.Fleming had been in ill health for about seven years,suffering from dropsy. She was confined to St Marys hospital for two years but for the past five years had been at home.
Vallie Pearce was born in Decatur, May 3, 1882. She was reared here and attended Decatur schools. In 1909 she was married to Rayburne Fleming in Salt Lake City Utah. Her husband died in 915.
Mrs.Fleming leaves one daughter Mrs. Ray Scroggins and her father, Charles S. Pearce, both of Decatur and the following brothers, and sisters, Miss Florence Pearce, Decatur, Sumner Pearce, W.Fork, Ind, Harry Pearce, Overland Mo,Charles,Fred and Lester Pearce,Terre Haute, Ind and Frank Pearce, Mt. Zion.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete Wednesday. The body was removed to Dawson & Wikoff funeral home.
