THE DEATH OF BERTHA M. JOHNSON
Stockwell - Mrs. Bertha Mabel Johnson, 79, widow of Charles O. Johnson, died in her home in Stockwell Thursday night. Born south of Stockwell, she was married in 1907. Her husband died in 1962. A resident in and around Stockwell most of her life, she was a member of Stockwell Methodist Church where she served as organist for many years, taught Sunday school and was president of the Friendly Class. Surviving is a son, Forrest D., Rt. 6, Lafayette. Friends may call at residence in Stockwell after 2 p.m. Friday. Body will lie in state one hour before services in Stockwell Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Clyde Wake, assisted by the Rev. Richard Craig officiating, burial in Johnson Cemetery. Surviving are four grandchildren. Linda, Ronald, Gregory and Jeff Johnson. She was a member of Stockwell Home Demonstration Club. Dwight R. baker, Dayton Funeral Director, in charge.
