Mrs. Priscilla Colgate of Pine Grove, Pa., a former resident of Mount Union, died in the Pottsville Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 15, 1963 at 3:40 a.m.

She was born Feb. 10, 1973, at Decorum, Pa., and was a daughter of John S. and Ann (Fleming) Appleby. She was united in marriage to Oliver Bruce Colgate of Shirleysburg in 1909. They made their home in Shirleysburg until 1926, and then moved to Mount Union. Mr. Colgate passed away on March 25, 1951. Since that time she had made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Endres of Pine Grove.

Mrs. Colgate was a member of the Mount Union Presbyterian Church

She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Ralph D. Colgate (should be Appleby) of Hollidaysburg; Edwin Colgate of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Mrs. James (Martha) Endres of Pine Grove. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one brother and one sister: Ulie Appleby of Altoona and Mrs. Jane Kurtz of Mechanicsburg.

Funeral services will be held at the Clark funeral home in Mount Union on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 18, at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. James Matz, pastor of Mount Union Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be made in the Pine Grove Presbyterian Cemetery at Neelyton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7 until the hour of service on Wednesday.
