Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Monday afternoon for Mrs. Wesley Granger Harvey, age 79, who died Sunday Aug. 8, at 3:30 pm at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.W. Earl near Sherman.
Rev. Ray Short of Sherman had charge of the service. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Lucinda Harvey was born April 15, 1864 in Roane County, Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Cox. Coming to Collinsville when she was 17, the family settled near here. She was married to Wesley Harvey in 1896.
Mr. Harvey farmed near Collinsville until his death in 1908. Since that time Mrs. Harvey has made her home with her children.She was a sister to Abraham George Washington Cox, Sr.
Wife # 3 - Lucinda Wright Cox, married on Sept. 1, 1886 in Cooke Co., Texas. Lucinda was born on April 15, 1864 to Wesley Granger Harvey, in Roane Co., Tennessee and died on Aug. 8,1943 in Grayson Co., Texas. From this union there was 4 children: Matilda F., born 1890, Aude D., born 1894, Dellar Barbara, born 1895 and Will Mack, born 1898.
