Angell, Delmar L. age 77, a longtime resident of Chicago Heights, IL died peacefully on December 12, 2010, after a brave fight with cancer.
Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Goncher); loving father of Edward (Roberta), James (Deborah), and Dale. Proud grandfather of Nathan, Kristin, Dylan, Christopher, Elaine, Amanda, and Shannon. Son of the late Horace and Emma (nee Lueder). Fond brother to Bill, and the late Grace, Bernadine, Thelma, Chuck, Eddie, Margie and Jack. Fond brother-in-law and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Delmar retired as a Captain with the Chicago Heights Police Department after 30 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Lansing Council 3540 and a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1060. A longtime member and usher with St. Kieran Church in Chicago Heights. He was everyone's "Mr. Fix-It". He enjoyed woodworking and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
