Visitation for Margaret V. Kraus, 82, of Momence, will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at the Cotter Funeral Home, Momence. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Momence. The Rev. Dan Hessling will officiate.
Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made for Masses or to the donor's choice. She passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010, in the emergency room at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Mrs. Kraus was a homemaker. She was born July 22, 1927, in Chicago Heights, the daughter of Edward and Emma Steele Angell.
Surviving are her husband, James P. Kraus, of Momence, whom she married Dec. 1, 1949, in Hopkinsville, Ky.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Schmidt of Chicago Heights; two sons and daughters-in-law, James P. and Carol Kraus, Joseph and Debra Kraus, all of Momence; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Rose Angell and Delmar and Dolores Angell, all of Chicago Heights.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
