Jennie's birthday was actually Dec. 20th, but she liked to celebrate it on the 12th because she thought the 20th was too close to Christmas. Sam & Jennie were m. 15 Feb. 1893 in Freeport, Banner Co., NE. Jennie was a step-mother to Sam's dau. from his first marriage, Gladys (Kelly) Darnall, as well as being a mother to their biological children: Glenn Curtis Kelly, Earl L.Kelly, Ernest Kelly, Myrtle (d. in June 1899 when born), Vern O. Kelly, Lillian Tempest (Kelly) Gable, Vera Jennie (Kelly) Feidler Peregrine, Clifford Samuel Kelly, and Ester Kelly b. 23 March 1915, a pretty blond baby who d. 1915 after catching German measles from her brothers Glenn & Earl.
