Reverend Schuyler G. Boyd is my 1st cousin 3xs removed. His birth name is Skiler Green Pitchford. His birth mother is Virginia B. Pitchford. The last name of Boyd was his step-father's, Francis Boyd, who married his mother in 1858. The name changes appear on the US Federal Census starting with the 1870 census. By 1900 he had entered the ministry and relocated to Alabama. Finally, the 1900 census through the 1930 census in Alabama recorded his name as Schuyler G. Boyd.
