Elizabeth (Tootie) Yates - Daughter of Norah and Curtis Elliott born in Springfield Ohio, where she lived all of her life til she moved to Florida in 1987. When her health began to fail and she lost her leg to diabetes.
She was 68 at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 50 years Everett Mrs. Yates is also preceded in death by her parents Norah Belle Dykes Canter, Willam Elbert Canter / Curtis Elliott, 4 borthers, Curtis, Robert, Harold and Lawrence. 1 sister Paulene. 3 sons John Jr.; Paul A. and James E. also a daughter Brenda K. Suttles. Elizabeth worked in several fine restaurants in the Springifeld area Linardos Villa, Yannucci's, Derr Road Inn. She is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren1 great great grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Zechman Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Briley officiating. Burial in Vale Cemetry where she was laid to rest next to her husband Everett and son John Jr. April 1,1989 family received guest at the home of Mrs. Yates' Daughter Norah E. Denson where a luncheon was provided. (by son Mark Steven Yates)
