CAREY, Helen F. 70, of Springfield, passed away November 2, 2017 in Miami Valley Hospital. She was born April 28, 1947 in Springfield, the daughter of Everett and Elizabeth (Elliott) Yates. Mrs. Cary is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years; Earl Marvin Carey Sr., three children; Earl Marvin (Tina) Carey Jr., Olive Hill, KY, Carol (Marvin) Shott, Canton, OH and Aaron (Missy) Carey, Springfield, grandchildren; Samantha (Josh), Brandon, Zach, Simon, Caitie, Bill and Emma, one brother; Joe Yates, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings; Jim, Paul, John, Steve, Nora and Brenda and her parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Helen's family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Midwest Dialysis and to Dr. Kurian for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.
