Stockwell, Jun 11 - Newton R. Johnson, 76, well known retired farmer, died at 7:45 o'clock at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient six weeks. Born at Stockwell, May 24, 1891, he was married to Ada Eberhart. He was a member of the M.E. church. Surviving are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Anita Plyme and Miss Opal Johnson, Stockwell, and Mrs. David Goodwin, South Bend, with three sons, Joseph and Arthur, Stockwell, and Clark Johnson, Lafayette. The body was removed to Rogers and Smith funeral home.
