Five days after her husband passed away of pneumonia, Mrs. Edward Uhlenkamp died at her home five and one-half miles southeast of Carroll, a victim of the same disease. Her death occurred at 5:15 o'clock Thursday evening. Mrs. Uhlenkamp had heen ill for three weeks, but at the time of her husband's death she was showing improvement. She continued to improve slowly until the day of her death, her condition taking a turn for the worse that morning.

She was about 32 years old. On her passing four children, ranging in age from 10 to 2 years, are left without parents. At present two of the children are at the William Dopheide home and the other two at the Barney Dopheide home. The body is at the Kircher - Dietrich funeral home, where it will remain until the hour of services. Rites will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at SS. Peter and Paul's church and the requiem mass will be read by the. Rev. L. Schenkelberg. Burial will he beside her husband in Sacred Heart cemetery, Templeton. Pallbearers will be Henry Venteicher, Louis Tigges, Henry Neppl, Albert Weir, Lawrence Ocken and Nick Beyer.

Mrs. Uhlenkamp was a lifelong resident of Carroll county. She was born Helen Dopheide at Roselle, a daughter of John and Bernadine Dopheide, both deceased. She attended Holy Angels school at Roselle. On April 21, 1921, she married Edward Uhlenkamp, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 30.

The surviving children are Anita, 10; Edna Mae, 8; Arlene, 5; and Harold, 2. She also leaves two brothers, Louis Dopheide of Templeton and William Dopheide of Dedham. Her mother died April 22, 1917, and her father, June 6, 1935. A brother, Henry, passed away May 8, 1935.
