Funeral services for Clara L. Edwards, 82, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
The daughter of the late Arthur L. and Clara I. Adolph Edwards, Clara was born Sept. 1, 1928, in New Albany. She was a seamstress and worked at the old powder plant and Hubbuch's of Louisville.
Survivors include her children, Francis L. "Butch" Edwards and his wife, Kathy, of Nabb, Neila A. Bline, of Pawtucket, R.I., and John W. Edwards and his wife, Kathleen, of Bradford; sister, Sally Rake Taylor, of Austin; grandchildren, Ryan Edwards, April Edwards, Dr. Cheryl Bline, Jennifer Bline and Jacob Edwards; and great-grandchild, Mara Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Mary Edwards, and her brother, Albert Edwards.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday
