He was a native of New Albany, a retired Machinist for the old Naval Ordinance and an Army veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of New Albany VFW Post 3281, Loyal Order of the Moose, Sunnyside Solos Square Dance Club, Kentuckiana Square Dance Association, Indiana Dancers Association and a former member of the Kentuckiana Squares. He was looking forward to the 59th National Square Dance Convention to be held in June of this year.
Survivors include his sisters, Clara Edwards of New Albany, and Sally Rake-Taylor and her husband, Don, of Austin, and many other loving extended family and friends.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Morgan Amos, c/o Chase Bank, 913 West McClain Ave., Scottsburg, 47170.
