Funeral services for Mrs. Cassie L. Mecom, 85, will be held Thursday [April 25] at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Spur. Rev. Norris Taylor, church pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Mecom died in Lubbock on April 20 [sic 22]. She had been a resident of Spur since 1912. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Rita Bell, Vernon; Mrs. Nell Estes, Lubbock and Mrs. Forrestine Ripple, Dumas; two sons, Hardy Mecom, Kerrville and J. I. Mecom, Jacksonville, FL; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Spur Cemetery.
