Mary A. Armijo, 90, a resident of Albuquerque, former resident of Springer, NM went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her daughters, Lillian Trujillo, Virginia Garcia; and husband, Gilbert, Julia Cordova and husband, Emilio, Berta Chavez and husband, Leroy and Cecilia Metz and husband, Jim; stepdaughter, Esther DeHerrera; grandchildren, Johnny, Teddy, Bobby, Theresa, Allen, Donnie, Ralph, Isaac, Maria, Nydia, Monte, Vanessa, Armando, Dina, Angelica, Eric, and Nicolas; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Mary Faye Archuleta; son in law, Steve Anderson; brother, Louis Fernandez and wife, Emily; sister, Theresa Abeyta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Isaac Armijo; daughter, Fabiola Anderson; stepchildren, Esco Tafoya, Ted Armijo, Cleo Sanchez, Sam Armijo, Elsie Sanchez and Joe Armijo; grandson, Billy Trujillo; brothers, Ignacio Fernandez and Joe Fernandez; sisters, Berlinda Romero, Seferina Archuleta and Patsy Gallegos. Mary was very devoted to her faith, where she belonged to St. Joseph's Church in Springer. She was an active member of the Altar Society, Legion of Mary and Eucharistic Ministry. She was proud to have been able to participate in a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia in 1988. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, June 1, 2008, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church 4020 Lomas NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel one hour prior to rosary.
