All I could discover with certainty about Irena was that she was born in 1848 (per the cemetery record), that her father was born in Kentucky and her mother in Indiana (per the 1880 Census record), that she married Samuel Crossgrove sometime between 1870 and 1880, and that the couple lived in Aubbeenaubbee, Fulton Co., Indiana.
I did find an Irena E. Smith born in 1848 living with parents James and Sarah Smith in Eagle, Boone Co., Indiana on an 1860 Census record, but James gives his birth state as Ohio, not Kentucky, so this may not be her family even though the "Irena" spelling and the middle initial are quite a coincidence along with a mother who was born in Indiana.
