MYRA M. KISSINGER MONN, 83, a resident of Menno Haven Nursing Home, and formerly of 236 Walnut St., Waynesboro, Pa., died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born March 2, 1919, in York, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Stuart and Mary Alice Hellerman Kissinger.
Her husband, Kenneth Levi Monn, died March 12, 1994. They were married Feb. 5, 1939.
She was a 1937 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of the Christian Homebuilder's Sunday School class.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn M. Swartz of Bristol, Tenn.; two sons, Stephen L. Monn of Waynesboro, and Timothy L. Monn of Cumberland, Md.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth L. Monn; five sisters, Marguerite Altland, Marion Buehler, Mildred Haas, Mary Osterman and Margaretta Warrenfeltz; and five brothers, Benjamin H. Kissinger, Robert Kissinger, John F. Kissinger, Stuart H. Kissinger and William G. Kissinger.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. The Revs. James M. Lucas and Prudence B. Yelinek will officiate. Burial will be in Antietam Cemetery (Price's Church) near Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
