Margaret Elizabeth Hensley Patrick is the daughter of Willis and Elizabeth Brotherton Hensley. She was born and lived around Walnut Lake in Tippah County, MS. She moved to Tipton County, TN after her husband, James M. Patrick was killed by a train in 1891 near U Bet, TN. Her sons convinced her to relocate to West Tennessee. Margaret her sons and daughters were in Tipton County in 1900 as shown by the 1900 US Census. Margaret and James M. had eleven children. Alonzo "Lonnie", Mary E., Ann C., Nancy Ida, James Henry, Richard Oscar, Harriet Louvenia, Edward, Willis Joseph, Peter Ray Dolphus, and Effie Mandy.
