Obituary:

Service for Wallace R. Murphy, 65, of rural Fairmont will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Murphy died from complications of influenza Saturday in Phoenix, Ariz.
Friends may call beginning Tuesday morning at Goodell Funeral Home, where prayer service will be 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Murphy was born Aug. 9, 1909 in Jo Daviess Township, Faribault County. He married Veronica Guerber June 9, 1936 at Blue Earth. They farmed in Faribault and Martin counties and he also worked for Howard Wagner Construction Co.
Survivors include his wife; five sons and a daughter, Edwin, Patrick, and Mrs. Kathleen Pygman, all of Fairmont Michael of East Grand Forks, Joseph of Swea City and Stephen of Mankato; 11 grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Willard of Guckeen, Maynard and Floyd of Blue Earth, and Mrs. Geneva Leach of Albert Lea.
