Mrs. Bernice Elizabeth Bates, 75, of Centerville died Wednesday, May 8, (1985) at Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock.
She was a native of Pope County, a retired employee of the Dardanelle procesing plant at Tastybird Foods, daughter of the late Ad Shinn and Willie Gaydon Shinn, and was a member of Slaty Crossing Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Montie Bates; two daughters, Melba Standridge of North Little Rock and Patsy Pedigo of Little Rock; a sister, Adleigh Eubanks of Burney, Calif., and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Humphrey Chapel by the Rev. Gary Huett. burial will be in New Hope Cemetery at Dardanelle by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Bob Pitts, Kenneth Crow, Hrlan Nuckles, Dover Caldwell and Carlos Booth.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
