Nancy was the daughter of William Bain b.1775. She was married to Bryant Thornhill and they were two of the first settlers in Rosalie, AL. Nancy took George Washington Baine to rear after his father John, her brother was killed in a hunting accident. Bryant Thornhill was taken by force to Atlanta,GA during the Civil War to make saddles and died there. His grave is unknown.
