Billie Jo Atchley April 7, 1928 - December 8, 2010 Billie was born in Shamrock, Texas on April 7, 1928 and went to join her Lord on December 8, 2010 in Bakersfield, Ca. She and her family came to California during the Great Dust Bowl. She attended the historic Rock Pile School where she was the Valedictorian and graduated from Kern Union High School. She retired from Safeway after more than 30 years. After her retirement, Billie became very active in her community. She was a member of the Executive Board for the Fairfax Grange, a Past President of Lamont Women's Club, and the Treasurer of the Safeway Retiree Club and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charlie W. Atchley, parents James Lee and Maggie Clark, brothers and sisters, Calvin Clark, Cleaman Clark, Iva Cunningham, Iris Trimble and Irene Sechrist. She is survived by her loving children: Terry Atchley, Kevin Atchley, of Bakersfield, Ca. and Sandra Ott of Wichita, Kansas. Grandchildren: Eirik Ott of Austin, Texas, Sabrina Bussart of Wichita, Kansas and David Atchley of Bakersfield, Ca. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, California, 93306.
